Now that the water has turned cold, my goldfish seem to be sleeping under the water hyacinths. Should I soon remove the water hyacinths from the pond or should I leave them there all winter long in the ice and snow? Thank You

no... pull the hiacynths out as soon as they brown out. if they stay in they'll rot and pollute the water. oldmarine must have misread your question
