Fish pond to wildlife pond

I'm about to re-home my goldfish and turn my pond into more of a wildlife pond. My question is, is it ok to still have a pump in it to still have the small waterfall running, sometimes? It only has a 10cm drop to the pond and I can control it so it's very gentle.
Will frogs and other wonderful beasties be put off by the slight movement of the waterfall at all? Is there anything I can tweak with the pond to make it inviting for all creatures great or small (except fish of course) & have the waterfall?
My pond is approx 2.5x2.5xD0.60m. I currently don't have very many plants but this will change.
Any advice, tips would be so helpful because I am feeling quite stressed and sad at rehoming my fish but I feel I can't cope with the yearly increase of fish and excessive blanket weed any longer.
Thank you.

I have the local green frogs move into my pond every year despite the different overflows I have going into it as well as the toads breeding every spring. As long as there is not a great disturbance throughout the whole pond you should be fine.

I have 3 waterfalls and frogs still visit my pond. Never see any tadpoles tho, maybe due to goldfish eating the eggs?
