Flashing vs wagging?

My koi have exhibited the following behaviors with increased frequency and I’m wondering if it’s good bad or neutral?

Swimming along the surface
Wagging tails along surface
Surfacing along sides in greenery

I saw something on flashing but they are not turning on their sides… just doing this while upright

Otherwise acting normally. Usually they do this sporadically but it is much more frequent over the last few days.

Thoughts?

That would be awesome if that’s the case! Haven’t seen any floating foam yet though

My goldfish sometimes do the "lie on the side" maneuver up in the shallow areas. I was worried until I realized they were being sneaky pigs and trying to eat stuff from the edges! They had to go sideways to get in the really shallow spots.
