The Wifes 60 th Birthday doesn't happen everyday and she is not big on b day parties . So i figured i had to come up with something a bit more personal and came up with floating candles in the pond. Little could be more Magical , just wish my good camera was available. The video doesn't do nit justice .

That’s really cool. Totally stealing this idea. How did you keep them all from going over the negative edge?

I placed a couple in dead pool stuck in vegetation then I used a pole laying just under the surface to keep them from entering dead pool. If they hadbeen drawn in there it would have lost the effect of circlingaround the pond

Very thoughtful! I've always thrown around the idea of getting those fake floating lotus flower lights to throw in the pond for parties, but those real candles look like the only way to go for a nice romantic setting!

I've since gotten the lighting bug trying all kinds of different solar lighting. I guess we got complacent with the pond lights. Now it's getting the landscape lighting done . What little extra I did has realy made this project look like a true resort vacation.

I've found that even a little bit of lighting goes a long way toward making the garden more enchanting. Underwater lights aren't in my budget at the moment, but I've got one inexpensive solar light pointed across the pond directly at the waterfall, and it's magical!
