Flow rate for my filter

I am going to start my 55 gallon drum filter project. One will have Spring Flo and some filter mats the other will have scrubby pads. I am looking at a laguna pump just not sure how big ... What do you think ? My pond is 4000 gallons I am currently running a skimmer and a bio falls with a 4200 gph pondmaster supreme pump .

are you putting the barrels in the current system or making a new independant system? if your just going to tap in between your pump and falls your pumps fine

In my 4500 gal pond , I run a laguna 4200 ,,I run 400 to 600 gph thru each of the 3 bio drums ...And run a 1250 gph pump for my fines filter.
