I notice when my pond has foam from the fish spawning (in the morning), the foam goes away by afternoon.

My pond is only up 2 week and they're banging already lol
That's been quite common with my new ponds and aquariums. First 2 weeks I set up my blood parrot tank and there were eggs everywhere. The first year of my 2500 gallon pond is when I had the biggest birthrates.

I see one goldfish with a slightly pop belly (hopefully not dropsy). That normal for female before laying eggs?

Forgive my noobieness. Only at this hobby a month now. Can't believe how much learning is required. For chris sake i was using untreated tap water just few weeks ago without knowing the danger (and no filter/uv, clueless about pond cycle). Actually learned alot in the past week on this forum.

Often the adult fish will eat many / most of the eggs. I don't feed my koi after they spawn, so they eat the eggs! Population control :)

Actually interested in them spawning. Obviously will have to remove them, but for me it be a new cool experience.

@Magzire , if you have any toads, these will also eat alot of the new fry and smaller fish and even sick fish... I think one reason I have never seen a dead fish in my pond is cause the toads eat the weakling fish before they actually die... Circle of Life... and I have some huge toads. ;)
