Will goldfish eat the food that lands on the bottom of the pond?

Yes. They eat anything edible (and some non-edible stuff), anywhere.

They will eat it, but you want to be careful that you aren't leaving too much extra food in the pond. They should be able to eat most everything you toss in before it gets a chance to get to the bottom.

With Koi anyway...... what comes out looks a whole lot like what goes in.....I saw something that looked like fish food on the bottom.....I got my net, checked it out.....nope that’s Koi poop.....LoL

Most pellets are labeled large or small. Look for food that says goldfish and small pellet. Once its in the water, it softens so even the larger pellets can be eaten by smaller fish.

Yup - all our fish eat the same sized food. The little guys just keep testing to see if it's "bite-able"!

nope that’s Koi poop

You know what's weird - 8 years with a pond and I've never seen poop in the pond. Nor have I ever seen a fish pooping. I mean, I'm sure they do but I've never caught them in the act! Our aquarium fish used to be pooping constantly.

I spend more time watching my fish cams then I do the tv

Same here! Patch the dvr over to the big screen and watch the koi channel!

We have two 32 inch of so tvs on top of the cabinets next to the big tv, one on each side, they are a constant feed to the yard and pond cams . As movement occurs the picture changes to the one with movement.
