for those in sub-tropical climates, what kind of fish do you have in your pond?

Good evening, just curious to hear about what types of fish people have in their more southerly latitude ponds? I live in a gentle enough area that I can grow bananas, mangoes, avocados, and cherimoyas in my yard (and it's too warm for almost all stone fruit, with average overnight lows in December of 47 degrees), so was thinking that there might be some different species options for climates like mine than the traditional goldfish, koi, for ponds that freeze over in the winter, and curious to know what others have explored.

I am from Dandridge TN. I have a pond built for cichlids. It gets cold hear in winter so I heated my pond. The fish in my pond are 2 texas cichlids 3 oscars 1 silver dollar 1 giant gold gourami 2 kribensis cichlids 2 pleco 1 is 14 inches and other is about 6inches a small catfish and a large mouth bass and then of course I do live feedings there are pics of different fish in my pond. Thinking about removing the 2 Texas cichlids though extremely territorial.
