I apologize if this is the wrong place to put this, but in the interest of more flow and less mosquitoes,
I pulled out Water Celery and Water Thistle this AM.

Big clumps, more than 12" across, 2-3 clumps of water celery, 1-2' high and
2-3 clumps of water thistle, 3-4' high.

Free to anyone who is interested, but unless I hear soon, all become compost.

my email is: (e-mail address removed)

(don't forget the A in Keikoa!)

We are in south Aurora, should I put my phone number?

I'll stick them in bins just incase.

No problem, really, my son pulled out this much 3 weeks ago, and they've already grown back! :D
Also an equal amount of mint that is growing in the water. It makes a pretty pond plant, and useful too!

I would say that each large bunch fills a 30 gallon bin or could be stuckinto a 5 gallon (tall) bucket.

Lol, I think Colorado has a good climate for growing if you can add water.
Where we live used to be prairie, and the middle of our lawn is looking like it as the temps get to 102 today.

I try to stick to easy plants, too, the water celery just took off this year, maybe it likes mosquitoes!

Last year I would have jumped all over this. This year, I'm not quite sure where I would put them! My pond filled in fast and I may have to do some of my own pruning here soon.

I'm just up in Longmont, not too far from you. Ah well...

The first batch died from the heat, except for the batch I pulled out for jt.
I had posted on CL, though and a nice gentleman responded, so I pulled out more, whic we gave to him~
his compliments on the pond more than paid for the plants! :D :D

I have another guy wanting some, so I asked him to email me next week.
I don't like to traumatize the fish too much, climbing into their pond. I was in it for
45 minutes, and moved rocks and stood up the water hibiscus which had blown over.
When I got out, there wasn't a single fish visible! Out of 30 fish (probably more, I
have seen a few tiny ones) and 5 or more over 10"! LOL!

We have incredible brilliant blue dragonflies this year, shdwdrgn! Not very big, maybe 1 1/4" long.
I love watching them!

Is it still to hot to send them here? If it is don't worry you can wait. I know the sun has been blazing hot down there lately!

@keikoasmom -- I have been getting a ton of those as well. If you have the same ones as me, the males are bright blue, and the females are a darker brown. I had some of them around the pond the last couple of years, but they are everywhere this year!
