Whiskey; Got your PM. Growing up in French-occupied territory, I do know a smattering of the language, but since we get it shoved down our throats here (bilingualism) I guess I'd rather not use it. Therefore, the only French songstress I've ever listened to is the incomparable Edith Piaf. I CAN tell you that the song in the video is definitely NOT her's. And from what little I can make out of the words, I believe it tells the story of a pet cat that ate a canary and came down with a severe case of indigestion! But then again, my hearing has suffered from years of noisy pursuits such as motorcycling, target shooting, and working in a metal-stamping factory. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. :bye2:

All right, Whiskey! I put the question to my wife, who went to work and discussed it with some of her co-workers. She came home today with a selection of Celine's CDs, and has solved your problem! The song (or at least the music) was written by Johannes Brahms, is performed by Celine and her family, and the title is "Les Cloches Du Hameau". In English that would be "The bells of the Hamlet". Do you need any other information?
