Hi,
Does anyone know of a cheap but effective substitute for the extremely expensive Polymer Wool Pad required in Blagdon/Aquagarden pond filters.
Many thanks, Brian.

@sissy uses some kind of furnace filters or something like that in her filters but I don't know if they are the right size for what you have. Maybe cut the furnace filters and stack them?

I took pics of it so you can see thickness and name of product . Not sure where all you can get it . I know lowes , home depot and rural king has it here . Rural king is the cheapest . You may even be able to get it on e-bay or amazon I think size is 18x24 or 20x24 but forgot to measure it . About inch thick or a little more than that

Actually I've used that polyester batting sold at wally world with some success. But it's a pain to clean. I found some plastic type "excelsior" type stuff in sheets for use in "swamp coolers" that works ok as well.
