I've moved the general chat section further down the forum listing to the "members area", as it looks like a lot of new users are posting pond questions in there - when it's meant to be more of an off-topic general chat section.

It's a bit of an experiment to see if this helps new threads appear in the correct area. Just posting this in case anyone wonders if it disappeared!

I figures that out before I saw this! Good to know the why of it, sounds good to me! New users should scroll past all the topics they are looking for before they get to the chat!

I use the "What's New" feature and sometimes don't even notice which forum something is posted in. But keeping things organized makes sense for future searchers, for sure!

Me too!
The "what's new" is my browser's home page.

Mods/admins:
Thanks for all the work you do. Sorry you have to "intervene" sometimes when the talk might get a little "off topic". Addy, you know what I'm talking about!

Thanks! of course I get paid big bucks for doing this! Called Labor of love of ponds!

Most of the time all is good and if things slip we get reports to look and see what is going on. Right now is slow time, easier to skim all the threads for issues.
