Get out the camera and they all hide!

Sitting pondside this evening I was invaded with birds...hooded warblers, black and white warbler, worm eating warbler, red eyed vireos, blue headed vireo, yellow throated vireo, cardinals, chickadees, titmice, hummingbirds...all sorts of kool stuff! But as soon as I went inside to get the camera...GONE! I'm pretty sure I heard them laughing at me from the brush. So I took pictures of frogs, and managed to get a glimpse of a distant cedar waxwing.

The build has been done. I only have it done two months, so I have fish, birds, and I saw my very first Dragon fly this week. But I love it.

So, what lesson have you learned from this? Never go sit out pondside......without your camera or phone!

aggie my koi just waits for them to jump in the pond so she can kill them and suck out the insides.I get the joy of netting the rest out when she spits it out

Oh no! Sissy, they catch and eat the birds?

yep when aggie could get into the waterfall pond she got a bird but lucky I was there to stop her and now she can't get up there anymore .She ate my snails also .She is just bad to the core

My cat hunts frogs then takes them inside the house and lets them loose. Nothing like chasing a frog around your living room.

farm ponds win .I catch them and the tadpoles and take them to farm ponds that want the frogs to control mosquitos
