hello all

my little pond has some green (Im calling it algae) strands growing in it.
It is not a definate solid plant but all around my small pond there are these hazy vertical green growths.

I saw some similar stuff on the pot of a mini lily pot I bought and I pulled it off.
It has appeared in the last two days . It hasnt come bit by bit, there was nothing now there is a small pond full of this green fluff in vertical strands.

Should I just lift it out?

Sorry, I havent yet had time to get test kits to give you my water conditions.

If it is string algae, just pull out to control it. Eventually it will go away on its own till next spring.

I have pulled it out, or what has come out on my fingers and there are only some small bits left.

Can I put this stuff on my garden plants?

Sure, I mix it with my garden much pile that also has dirt in it. I sift it once in a while and use it to pot the plants that I sell.
