I just found little wiggly ones again!! (y) Wow, they are busy. I only have one female so hope she's not getting work too hard!!

I took 2 frys and put them in the tank, will see if they will survive.

It turned out that my 30+something frys are not goldfish  They are guppies. Their body's are half black so that's my daddy guppy color. And goldfish doesn't have color like that.

So I'll have to give them away soon. I'll give it a month so I can see which one I wants to keep. They are growing way way faster then the one in the tank.

I have seen a few fry in my pond, just saw one that was 1/2 inch pink with black eyes, cute little sucker. I was wading moving lilies around.

dieselplower - I meant that I know that's they are the guppy babies because goldfish wont have this type of color pattern (tuxedo, half black which most of my male guppies are)

I'm glad I saw the goldfish frys again after realized that I have about 30+ guppies to give away.

I asked for a couple of Watonai goldfish for my birthday.... lets see if I'll get them next month.

I know what you mean. Last year was my first year to have fry. I was SO excited!! I caught as many as I could and brought them indoors, but then started to wonder if they were in fact GF fry -- I had a bunch of Rosy Reds in the pond, as well. I had no idea how to tell the different babies apart, so just started watching them as they grew. After about a month, I could tell they weren't GF fry.

So, NOW I know the difference...... :) But I still ended up with 3 or 4 pretty GF as a result, 2 of which I overwintered indoors, so got to know them and they got to know me.

I saw one of the fry, open it mouth quite a lot, compared to other fry... wondering if that's a goldfish instead of the guppy.. just thinking about how the goldfish mouth moves and that's might be the same.. but these fry are only 1/3 inch so it's very hard to see ;)
