Today when I checked my pond I found Green algae forming on the de-icer. Is this a danger to the fish? Can They eat it and get sick. The water temps is only a bit over freezing. Please let me know. RDK.

After a spawn, the string algae that is stuck to the sides near the top gets trimmed to the liner by my Koi. They are after any eggs I miss or can't remove.
They also love to play in it.
