Hi,
I have a fish that seems to have green algee growning on him.
I have segregated him in to a large tub and plan to change out 1/2 the water each day.
Can anybody identify what is wrong and how should I treat him?

Thanks Mark

Interesting and baffling! Never heard of algae growing on a fish or have I ever heard of a green fungus growing on a fish.
Is this an actually growth on the exterior of this fish or is it under the skin?

It definitely LOOKS like algae... but what the heck?

But algae can't really grow on fish because of the fish's slime coat and the fact that this slime coat is constantly being sloughed off.
If this fish has no slime coat then it has far greater problems than algae growth.

I guess it could be algae growing on fungus that is growing on the fish, but that would mean that this fish has had a fungal infection for some period of time.
I believe this is SAP.
It's a fungus and sometimes algae gets stuck in it.
