hello,
i have a 400litre heavily planted natural pond with two goldfish. the pond stays transparent for a month or so but as soon as debris fall into the pond the water becomes green and after a while clears. would it work to have a roof over the pond? as in a small shelter made from transparent plastic. would this magnify the suns rays or no? any help is appreciated.

thanks in advance,
prawn

Are you wanting to keep debris out of the pond? For that, some type of netting night work better, but I don't have experience with using transparent plastic. I would think it could heat the pond. They do make covers that are semi-opaque that would still let some light in.

Do you think an opaque cover would let in enough light for my plants and yes the roof is to prevent debris from falling in
