Hi, I just dug a 600-800 gallon hole by hand and having some issues with water under the liner, but I think I can manage it. New to ponds, but lots of experience with aquariums and exotic pets like lizards, dart frogs, etc.

Attaching a pic of a vivarium I designed and built in 40 hours. The bottom holds 5 gals of water and it has screened cross-ventilation. All of the wood, except the hood was from the same size wood believe it or not.

welcome malak and hope you can solve your liner problem .Water behind the liner has to be resolved 2 ways trying to asses where the water is coming from to start above ground run off or below ground poor drainage from the property is sometimes cause by the soil

I'm putting 50 feet of flex perf pipe this weekend, but I will always have to have a pump behind the liner if I want to keep it there because of the clay layer water. If it becomes too much of a bother I will move it or have a mud pond.

Touché, Sissy.
No problem JW. I would even consider a "get off my forum, butthead" comment a welcome. Not as thin skinned as some others I've dealt with lately. ;-)

Well malak it sounds like you have been through something similar to what I went through in the past. Sometimes for some strange reason we people seem to rub each other the wrong way at times and then things get blown out of proportion and the **** hits the fan and vrooooom, zap you are kicked to the curb like an old dried up skin of a banana. Just roll w/ the punches, get up, wipe the dirt off yourself and get on w/ the good stuff in life my friend
