good morning everyone, i have a gunnera 3years old and this is the first winter where i have felt the need to protect it from frost, at the moment i have the crown covered with a bucket wrapped in insulated plastic wrapping, i put this on overnight and take of during the day, do any of you guys have gunneras and what do you do to protect from frost ? also a very happy new year to all lets hope its better than the last one.

I had to look up what a gunnera was. Here is a link to some videos on how to protect them over winter.

I don't have any gunners, but I would love to! They just grow way too big to fit anywhere in my yard!

hi addy hi lisa i have had mine for 3 years now and they dont get to there optimum size till the 4th year onwards, sadly the leaves have died off with the cold so photos wont do it any justice at the moment, but i am hoping for big things this year and will snap some pics then P1000271.JPGthis was it last spring
