Hardy oxygenating plant - Zone 5

    I thought the anacharis I bought last year was hardy-- but it has
    disappeared & all the other plants I put in last summer are doing

    What do other folks like for oxygenating the pond? My wildlife
    is mostly frogs, snails & damselflies- but there is also a school of
    Rosy Reds that play there.

    I use an air pump with a foot long sintered glass airstone. INgrid

    Somewhere between zone 5 and 6 tucked along the shore of Lake Michigan
    on the council grounds of the Fox, Mascouten, Potawatomi, and Winnebago

    Same here, I suspect though it might still come back, we'll see. Otherwise
    I see the hornwort is doing fine.

    I can't figure out why anacharis is on our noxious weed list if it can't
    make it thru winter in a pond? ~ jan
