Hello all...

Long time outdoorsman ( fishing and gardening are my outside loves)...always enjoyed being around water and have always wanted a pond or waterfeature but have been worried about creating a mosquito and algae pit. FINALLY took the plunge about a month ago with a little preformed (50 gallon) that was majorly discounted from a big box store...soon after it was in it definitely wasn't enough.... I added a veggie filter, waterfall, 7 plants, and 5 feeder fish....lol. really not much to add right now to the group except major pond envy , but did want to say thank you because I have been reading and lurking this great site which has a ton of info and it appears great people with a lot of knowledge that is being shared amongst members...

Thanks again, Casey

Welcome to the forum. Cute little pond, nice job. My guess is you will quickly outgrow your 50 gal pond and want BIGGER! :)
Thats how mine started a 100 gal stock tank buried in the ground. Now I have a 3000 gal pond. lol

Hi Casey welcome! My first pond was on sale at a big box store for $150. Now years and lots of dollars later it has expanded several times. My wife is now preventing me from building it so it takes over the whole yard so it can be pretty addicting!

Cute pond and looks like you have lots of room for an expansion in the future. You don't really like mowing all that grass do you :)
