I'm new to the Koi pond scene. I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I was just in the Philippines last month. My fiance had a crudely built fish pond on her property. I thought a nice fish pond would be a good suprise for her when she finally comes to my place. Hope to meet some good friends and helpful friends here. :)

Welcome from VA also, but the southside near NC border and what a nice idea and are you considering preformed or liner .Liner is easier and cheaper and easier to level and how big would you like to go and how much money do you plan on spending .I know most people have a budget to work with like I did .I had to keep mine as cheap as possible

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. :) Now I've been wondering if I should do all the projects I have planned here at this house (where the other houses in the hood take the value of mine down). Or look for another house that has some of what I'm looking to do at my house already, and build the pond there. If I do that, I may wait until my fiance is with me. But I can still get some lessons and ideas from you guys. ;) I'm looking at something sweet and simple. Maybe from 8x11 - 10x15 with a small footbridge over the middle to allow for some shade, if I pick a place that has no shade alot of the day. I'd rather have a waterfall instead of a fountain, but where I'm at now is all flat, and I don't think I could make it look natural. Unless the water fell from underneath the bridge. But then the serenity for the fish under the bridge would be gone. Right now I have a blank sheet of paper, so any ideas are welcome. :D Thanks Again.
