I haven't bought any fancy fish, we've been doing pretty good with the feeder gold fish actually. We bought them just to keep down the mosquito population and ended up with somer pretty nice comets. Most of them look like miniture butterfly koi, orange, orange & white, black & white and plain white. I don't think my pond is deep enough for koi it's only 24in deep. From what I've read it needs to be 3 1/2ft for koi in my neck of the woods!

Hi Dr Case,

Thank you for the nice comments. The hill is more of an optical illusion, there is a small hill. The picture was taken from my deck looking down at the pond and the slope of the yard looks deeper than it really is.

Hello Karla and welcome to the Pond Gallery.

From what every one is saying that your pond looks beautiful..I will have a look for myself when I go in the gallery..
On regards to your floating Plant Pad. well there is a place in Montreal Canada that sells Floating Pond Pads..You can leave the plants and pads right in the water all winter long..I have one but I wish I would have ordered a bigger one..I may order another one, then just join the two together..
Here is the Link for the Website.

Thank you Lyle,

I took a look at the website and it did give me a few more ideas. The floating island sounds like the perfect thing for the micro algea issue we get in the spring.

Thanks again and Take Care
