I found these in my filter this week, I've also got one of my koi with white patches on its back. I've lost 2 with this before. Are these healthy?

goodness! never seen that before.

but as always,

what size is your pond
how many fish do you have
how long has it been running,

and water test results! not just "good" or "okay" numbers.

Oh really? Oops.
Pond is 6000ltr
Around 50 fish
Running for around 6 months
Checked water and all results in the colour range on chart.

You have these on your filter, and you have a koi with white patches on its back — and you’ve lost 2-koi in the past “due to this before.” I almost missed the part about the koi. Are you asking if these larvae are what’s causing the koi to have white patches? I kinda doubt it, as those look good to eat. If they were harming the fish, I would imagine they would be attached to the fish, which they’re not.

Can you tell us more about the koi — how long has it had white patches, and is it showing any other signs of illness? What about the 2 that died?

Again, we need to know your current water tests (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH, KH, and GH — the actual numbers, as @TheFishGuy said, rather than “the color range on the chart.”

How big is your pond and how many koi do you have?

Notice you have posted several threads with pond issues but never answered some of the questions. You say 50 fish- are they all koi and how large? Your pond is about 1600 US gallons, ok for a couple of koi but no more. Your pond is new, green water is expected and fine. The fish don't mind it. Can you please post your actual test results and post your fish load. Thanks- we are here to help!
