Hello all!

I'm wanting to expand my current pond. My sidewalk runs along the front of the pond, so I cannot move it forward. I can only expand it side to side or backwards, but I don't want to tear up the water fall TOO much. Let me know your ideas!

Thanks,
Eric

It's curently 7x3.5 long and 4 feet deep. I'd like to expand it to 1500-2000 gallons. I'm right around 450 gallons now I think.

Getting 2000g in that area would be tough without removing most of the waterfall, I would think. Mine is about 850 gallons and is 11'x6', Deepest being 3.5'. You'd have to go much bigger than that to get 2000, so it might be best just to redo the waterfall afterwards. It will be worth it

Gotta go up & out.

I figured your current volume here and came up with around 700 g.

If you go up with 2x8s or 2x10s attached to 4x4s sunk in concrete for support / go say 9x6 if you have the room and you should be able to get to 2000+. You'd have a 10" shelf around it and could dig out some of the expansion to build up your waterfall.

I just took mine from 14x11x 3 to 17x14x4 this way in a day ( I was up till 1 but it was getting done ).

My eye sees it going up to the second light then out into the grass area a bit? I also see a split stream feeding into the grassy area of the pond. That way you still get plenty of stream just 2 shorter ones!
