I think your older fish are just hiding for awhile till they get used to the new ones. They will be fine.

Welcome to the GPF! They'll all get used to each other. It's just a change, like getting new neighbors! They all have to figure each other out!

I know exactly the problem you are having with the floating skimmer. YES the pump can get air in it. Below the water there is an outlet that directs the air and water away from the skimmer. You need to make sure it is pointing away a little so the air is directed away from the skimmer.
The sick fish (dont medicate it unless you have a good idea what is wrong with it.). Those photos will help. Do you have any tests of the water quality? I dont think you have any bio filter? So nitrates might be a problem. Water tests and photos would help us to help you.

i dont understand that about the skimmer there is nothing underneath the skimmer only the fitting where i connect the hose to the pump at the bottom of the pond and under the skimmer there is a hole i think i can buy a separate pump and connect under the skimmer but my english not good so i just think i dont understand:))and the fish was lower in the pond so i couldent take a pic i hope i can tomorrow not easy to see when its raining but i have a pic and video of the pond and the water quality are fine i testet it the other day ph-nitrate-nitrat-hardness-amonia-and one more thing the only thing i was unsure of was the hardness the manual told that if the first drop of hardness turned blue it was very dangerous butwe used about 20 drops and it diddent chance colour so i dont know what that means looks like the water was very hard is that good or bad?
