Help to identify

Hi,
after 30 years my pond will have to go. I had a large 7x3 m pond for 25 years but serious illness meant it had to go. Converted to an above ground aquarium which looks nice but is a pain to keep pristine. So I’m hoping to rehome my fish to a responsible fishy frined who has a large pond. We have this fish though and I don’t know what it actually is. I’m practically giving my set up away ( as in return they are ‘making good‘ the area ( I’m disabled ) but was wondering if this fish has any value and what it actually is ,
can you help please ?

i don't know types of koi, but it does look like a koi. Those that have them will chime in.

It's a koi - no idea the type - but I doubt you'd get more than a few dollars if you were to sell it. The high dollar fish come from reputable breeders.

Sorry you have to let your pond go... I hope it all works out for you. Your fish will be much better off in a pond than a tank.
