HELP!!

For the last week or so, whenever I leave the computer for a half-hour or so, when I come back to it I have to sign in again. Yesterday I had to do this at least five times! Have I pushed the wrong button somewhere, or is Addy trying to tell me something?

LMAO...............darn you caught on!

Check your power settings, that is where you tell your computer to go to sleep, hibernate etc and if a password is needed to sign back on. Maybe an update was pushed to it that changed your settings.
OH you mean to the GPF site! opps
When you log in do you check the little box that says stay logged in?

All I can find is a little box that says 'Remember me'. I'll see if I can find the 'Stay logged in" box.

WOO HOOO!!! FOUND IT! I always use the log-in screen part way down the right side, and it doesn't HAVE that option. Will try and see if that makes any difference. Thank you, Addy. BTW, what is the 'Remember me' button supposed to do?

It makes it so you don't have to type in your user id everytime

But isn't that a function of the computer? Every so often it asks if I want it to remember that info. All I have to do is hit "h", and then "HARO" when it pops up.

mine has the same thing haro it pops up on my puter and says do you want to remember your info on this sight (sign in and password )sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't ,But I have an old vista so it is picky

yep you are right, I was thinking of one of my other forums, when you tell it to remember you it is like stay logged in here.

The only time I've ever had to sign back in on here is right after the big update. Took me awhile to remember my password. Actually there are a lot of sites that if I get logged out, I may never get back in

I have a password manager now that helps me remember all the darn passwords, forums, banks, cc etc etc. Very high secure pw'ds for financial, easy for forums.

Nope, that didn't do it! I hit the 'Stay logged in' box, and it STILL shuts me out when I come back later!
