It seems the primary function of my pond is to feed the Herons.
I guess it's a small price to pay for having a nice pond.
I live in Vancouver, B.C. and the spring weather has brought the flowers into bloom
so I thought a photo of the heron with the flowering rhododendrons in the background
would be nice to share.
I was very lucky to have captured this "scene" although it doesn't show the fish in it's mouth.
Hope you like it.

Is the heron on the left in the first picture, behind the plants?

The whitish tall thing behind the plants, left side of the picture, almost looked like a heron standing there.

I did the same!
