Hi All,
I found this site when searching for pond forums awhile back and finally decided to join.
I'm new to ponds, but not new to freshwater/saltwater fish.
I've decided to rest from fish tanks and go for koi pond.
Currently my pond is still a work in progress.
Size is 17ft x 14ft x 2.5ft avg. kidney shaped. Deepest area is 4ft and shallow area is with 10inch. Using a home made filter using rain barrel.As you can see in the pics, it is still a work in progress with landscaping. Hope to get more knowledge from here.

I am not far from Milford.(Union township).

btw, the rocks you see are not in the deepest area. it's in 1st and 2nd shelf. latter is a slope from 2' to 3' which helps the debris to collect all the way in the bottom of the pond for easy cleaning.
