Hi, just had 2 ponds built in my garden and must confess to lurking on the forum for several weeks. Enjoying reading the posts and learning so much.

lots of work to do to make the pond not look like it has just been dumped in the middle of the lawn.

@Lodger
Your pond just needs some plant life around it and maybe some big rocks, driftwood etc. You'll find lots of idea's here to get ya going!

Just like you did at the bottom of the photo you have rocks jogging into the pond do the same and have a group jog out away from the water and break up the nice round edging. That will make it look more natural. The addition of some. Wood goes a long way as well llike a tree stump or limb

Hi Lodger. Glad you joined our little group here. Hopefully you will learn a lot and have some fun in the process. I think you have a great start. Can I ask what is the building next to the pond? I’m guessing it’s not a house because it looks pretty narrow.

The ’house’ is a garden office - became essential during lockdown. Thought I would make it more interesting by adding the pond.

Welcome to our forum!

Very nice, add some drift wood, a neat tree root, some plants, some big rocks away from the pond all will break it up

Now that’s an office! Who wouldn’t want to work there?! :eek:

Will you introduce fish to the pond? Please share any landscape updates!
