I've been interested in having a pond in my yard for some time. Last year, I bought a small pre-formed pond from a big box store to see how it would do with a few fish. I learned a lot -- in the successes and failures (fathead minnows survive everything!)
The 12 month test was good, but I had to take out the small pond to install a deck. So now I'm digging a new one -- nothing huge 6x4x2.5 or so with a liner. I've been taken with the idea of a bog filter -- well, in a container. So not really a bog. Anywho, that's the topic I'll be chasing down -- how to build one well. Having uniseal issues so far.
