I'm new to ponds, one came with my new house, but I can't wait to get my pond where I want and of course expand it and other water features in my yard. As I said in my Intro thread, I"m in Southeastern OH, about 50 miles outside of Columbus in the Hocking Hills region of the state. Here are some pics that I've taken so far:

These from mid November and then during the cold snap last week.

Here is the new look with the 2 stage filter almost finished. t needs some more rocks to finish the walls that will hide the filter.

I don't have the ability to isolate the fish so they had to go in.

I moved to a new location and am 75% completed on my new koi pond. Its roughly 2000+ gallons with a waterfall/strea,, a preasure filter, a skimmer, and two pumps (550 gph for the skimmer, 2500 gph for the falls). Its currently home to 14 koi fish of various sizes and ages (nothing older than 3 years) Here is how it looks as of this past Monday evening:

The new wet/bog area that is now home to Asian lilies and a massive tuber/root that may grow more Siberian iris.

Sure is looking nice there!
The water lilies aren't doing as well as I expected. I "planted them in stones instead of cat litter. I'm considering re-potting in clay litter and with more roots per pot. Any thoughts?

The fish are enjoying themselves. This is a bunch of them cruising for food.

So I'll look at the replanting as I think my fish load may not be sufficient to support good growth at this time.
