yes this is for seeming but it is the same prinsiples. what ever patch you get . The area must be clean completely clean. dry all the patches need to be applied to dry areas. The glues are all to my knowledge a contact cement meaning they have to dry before you try to stick the patch on and both surfaces get coated. and the patch should be round if you are unsure with your work put another patch covering the first patch so it us completely covering the first and caulk the edges.

Aquascape black silicone sealant plus pond liner. Clean the area super well. scrub it hard to rough it up a bit, and do the same to an oversized piece of liner to work as the patch. Dry, then put down a big bead of caulk, thick on the edges and again in the center. Put down patch, roll it smooth, use finger to spread the caulk over the edges. Make sure some caulk covers edges. Let dry. Other types of caulk don't work, but this stuff does. I used this method with EDPM liner and the patch is holding.

There are many caulking that will work with epdm Trust me I have used epdm for many years in roofing as well as in pending. I believe silicone is still aquascapes choice. But polyurethane caulking do the job as well. I have used no less than 6 different types of caulking on my pond . From using it as a simple lap cement to cover the edges of a patch to skimm box instalation main drain seals and tears. Oh and a coating over waterfall foam make it water "proof " not just resistant where it just slows the water down. The caulking will stop it to a drip or all together if your good.

One very trying time is finding a leak no doubt about it. Look for wet ground , ground that is soft to a poke to the liner that's not the same as the surounding area. Plants that general like alot of water but your not the one giving it to them or a plant that is dieing with an unknown reason.

Shut areas down or functions try to isolate them like water to the waterfall redirect the water see if your water still drops even if you have to shut down all pumps to let the water drop to the leak. Just make sure you run an air stone and I'm not talking aquarium grade unless you are that size.

If you have large boulders it can be a donating task. Other wise it is just a process of elimination.

Post some photos it would not be the first time a member saw a suspected area for the leak and they were right.
