We have a pondless waterfall stream. The rocks in it get green and dirty. After we scrub it clean, within a week or so the rocks are already turning green again. I suspect that's something we can't stop altogether but it sure would be nice if we could hold it off as long as possible so we aren't cleaning it so much. Is there something we can add to the water? Our pondless waterfall stream isn't real big, maybe 50-60 gals.

Do you have plants? If it is just a moving water feature with rocks - and no plants, could you add a very small amount of bleach? Or peroxide?

No plants. How much and how often should it be added? The only concern is the birds that drink and bath in it.
Well what do you want birds drinking they sure don't mind green algae growing thats a healthy water. if you want sterile rocks then use chlorine like a sterile pool
