I am rebuilding my pond and it will probably take a week or so. What should I do with my lilies?

Put them in enough water to float the leaves, they can be shallow without issue. Just don't let the tuber or roots dry out.

@Kproc
You can stick them in a tub so they are covered by water. Maybe something a couple feet deep, that'll do till you get your pond done.

Can you get some sort of cheap kiddie pool or tub or bucket of water to stick them in . Never mind…what j.w, and addy1 said

I had removed some tubers dumped them on the ground a few years back. Also pulled a lot of bog plants dumped them on top of the tubers. Weeks later remembered someone asked for a few tubers. Dug them out, still alive, still with some growth. They survived since they were buried under the bog plants pulled and stayed wet. They are pretty tough plants.

No idea what they taste like at that stage but I do know they'll give a skunk a run for the money as they sure can stink.
