How to pump out water

I am now doing my water changes and I am using a portable sum pump. It works very well. My pond has three tiers 24^ 18" and 10" deep. My question is, does it matter witch tier I use to put the sum pump to remove the most ammonia ? Thank you

it won't matter. ammonia is dissolved into solution which means it's the same concentration no matter where you draw water from.
