I have ducks, geese, and LOTS of Oreioles. It’s mainly the orioles releasing their junk into and around my pond everyday. Even when I drained out all the water and left it like that for a day they still poop on the liner. How do I deter them from doing that? I’m worried I will catch diseases when maintaining the pond and my dog that can sometimes drink water out of it might get sick.

The same strategies used to keep predators away can keep birds away. People set up decoys, alarms, motion-detecting sprayers. Probably the most effective strategy is to use a net to keep them from being able to reach the water.

Have you looked into any of these methods? I don't have any experience with them, so I can't really provide details.
