I guess the joke's on me....

I noticed that my water lily plants seemed to be producing less pads recently -- there was more open water. I thought it was because the shade sails I'd put up were just interfering with the growth.

Well, I looked more closely today and........one of the crates holding one of the lilies apparently overturned and there was the pot, intact lily and all, sitting right on the bottom, in the deepest (3 or so feet) part.

So, how observent have I been, LOL!

Lol mine float flip move around, by the end of the season I just ignore their floating flipping etc

Yep, me too! If the pot goes deeper, the plant just sends the stems longer.
