I spend Mother's Day mulching our previous pond for my wife she's been wanting me to do it for a month now but I've been so busy with our New pond lol

40% compost and wood . Normally I get bark chips but alternating this year.

I hear you there it has been 30% chance all weekend but no rain yet.. Yes our local Meijer had 6 bags for $10

Hey our Home Depot did the same! 6/10$ what a deal. I usually boycott Home Depot when it comes to gardening items, because they throw away tons of plants all the time. And they are not "allowed" by store policy to sell them at a marked down, they have to dump them which is ridicules!! Yesterday I was picking up the mulch and they had one of those flat carts FULL of plants they were dumping. When I asked them why they were throwing them away, I was told they were " too leggy"
What the heck?!? Too leggy? And half of them were perinneals, it's a shame.

Diferent mate however I like the Zen bhuddist influence comming through here you'll need a few for your pond
