Today my first lotus bud opened up, that's always such a thrill. I'm always afraid that it won't survive the winter but it always does. The other one that seems to be super happy this year is a hibiscus in the bog - "Luna Pink Swirl". I amazed how big it's gotten and it's just covered in buds - I have some in the ground also and they are half the size. Hosta's are all going strong in the bog too and some are blooming now.
Such a pretty time of year...soon everything will looked baked.

I have two buds growing. Thrilled, was not sure after the rank and replant last fall any would survive.

I'm beginning to think they are much tougher than I thought. Sure hope your new ones bloom -- I can't wait to see the yellow one.
