I really hate Fall coming

Sarah and I have been off on a two week vacation/road trip..... although my daughter kept everything watered and it’s all still living..... but everything just looks “Tired “..... such as it is..... fall is approaching..... I hate Winter..... but on the bright side, my fish are healthy and ready For winter..... and the garden will be back next spring, so time to rest and plan for next year

But I'm afraid I've seen some signs of Fall too. I'm already seeing some leaves on the ground.

As a pond and garden owner, I despise autumn.
As a hiker and camper, I love autumn.
At least until November.
November through March aren't much fun.

I will not like having to load the wood box every day by the wood stove.
No more shorts and tank tops and pretty plants in bloom.
No more baby bunnies and hummingbirds.
Clouds and rain and more clouds and rain.

You just had to go and mention it, didn't you? I told my husband today "someone should do some housekeeping around here!" Then I went out and mowed the grass!

I lived there for years, actually happy to be back in a place that has seasons and some cold. I was up off pinnacle and 51st ave.

I told my husband today "someone should do some housekeeping around here!"

By the time our weather makes housekeeping a thing to do, dear hubby has us packing up to head south....................

I do wish we had a longer season to enjoy our pond. I dislike seeing the winter cover, it's ugly. That said, I love the coziness of winter....fires in the fire place, scented candles, flannel sheets and jammies

Here, in eastern North Carolina, Fall means the final end of hurricane season which is Nov. 31 Seems there may be another potential one headed this way now.

Winter blows. It’s not good for anything. Lol. Just get everything all set up for the summer now put it all away.

For us southern folk winter is highs in the 50s and 60s. We can't wait
