Hey all,

I’m turning this flower window planter into a micro bog filter for my micro pond. I don’t 100% trust the material, especially the paint around the rim, so I’d like to paint it or coat it or something. I have pretty much everything else figured out, I just need advice on what is fish safe. Would Krylon Fusion spray paint, which is very popular among aquarium hobbyists, work? I would prefer some sort of epoxy or resin as opposed to a thin spray paint. Should I just slather it in silicon?

Silicon will peel off later. I would pick up some fiberglass cloth and resin and coat the inside. And the paint the inside black with Krylon.
