Well since my lovely wife would not give up her Crape Myrtles for me to build a elevated bog.....she persuaded me to build a pond plant stand...... I will eventually have 8 ft of it....... the problem was it’s on a pretty good slope, so using my 60’s era math skills and the calculator on my phone.....it worked out pretty good and is actually level !!

I have the water level lowered in the picture, when it is at the proper place it will be level with the top of the plant baskets....... also gives the Koi a place to hang out when the sun is bright

I love your plant shelf! If I ever have a bigger pond, I may have to copy your idea!

I made a "plant shelf" out of a plastic step stool, so it also somewhat functions as a fish cave. My little feeder goldfish love it! They can hide under it, and I'm assuming it's nice and cool under there, somthey like it.

Cool idea, did that in the past in a fish tank to use as support for a live rock structure. Just used egg crate and pvc is though. Like the adaptation of it for pond use.
