Whew! It's been awhile. Like, 4.5 years, give or take? There was a big move necessitating a fresh pond build. There was MAJOR drama with an incapable pond contractor. There was a lawsuit that went badly. Through all of this, my koi were kept alive and well in a temporary housing situation. It was small, and unsettling, but we worked hard to keep conditions optimal. Finally, last summer, we were struck with the very first health issues. October saw the pond finally completed, and as the fish moved in, we worked vigorously with a vet to restore everyone to good health. NO LOSSES!! I can't believe it. Then today, I woke to find my very special 8 year old Kawarigoi, Mimosa, barely breathing at the bottom of the pond. WTF? Ugh. I'm trying all I can to save her. But anyway... I'm back. I've missed y'all! I'll share pics and all soon.

C-Note, I was hoping you'd make an appearance here. So happy for you, Frank and the whole gang! I'm really sorry to hear about Mimosa, positive thoughts swimming her way .

Thank you @Tula! Sadly, Mimosa passed away this afternoon. We had an amazing 8 years together. ❤️

With a new pond and large koi you might want to find a local pond to slime you up with some of there muck. Give your pond a big boost. i'd say welcome back and will be i think you left just as i joined but that was 2017

Dear JRS. I like the picture of the two turtles, one top of the other. It brings back a favourite story. I think it was Aldus Huxley who was giving a talk on the astronomy etc. about 100 years ago. He said, "As you all know, the earth is round," and a woman spoke up and said, "No it isn't, it's flat." Huxley replied, "Madam, if it is flat, then what is it resting on?" She replied, "On the back of a very large tortoise." "Well then, what is the tortoise resting on?" She said, "Very clever young man, very clever, but it's tortoises all the way down."
