I normally don't turn off the falls, and upper pond. But there's a leak somewhere in the stream bed connecting the two ponds. I'll be fixing the leak this spring.
But untill then, while I'm working out of town, I'm gone 4 days a week, and don't want to come home to a dry pond, and dead fish. (I doubt that will happen but you never know) So I turned off the pump. Went out today to service the skimmer, and turn the fall pump back on, only to find that where the pipes are above ground have frozen. Nothing broken, but just dang.
