I don't like getting into my ponds. One has a steep slope and the other is 5' deep and I'm 5'4"! Lilies occasionally need pruned, lights and air stones moved.
I got a set of kids gardening tools from Home Depot. They are made from resin so wont damage liner. Pvc handles added and now I can work in the ponds without getting in. The fan rake is great for removing string algae.
Also put a hook on pvc so I can move my lilies since they have the plastic net over them.

Thanks for that! I need to come up with a way to prune the dead lily growth. Have used a tool bought at a pet store, but it hasn't been reliable -- I either get a semi-broken one or it self-destructs!

I use them in the gardens also they are great for getting into smaller spaces .I even use one of those grabber things you use in the kitchen to reach stuff that is to high and for a short person that seems to be every thing
