PEOPLE ON FORUM HAVE BEEN ASKING ME HOW TO PUT WINDOW INTO POND, SO THIS THREAD IS TO EXPLAIN HOW, AS IT WAS EXPLAINED TO ME.
CUTTING CORNERS OFF BLOCKS IS EASY WITH A BRICK CUTTER TO ALLOW RECESS FOR GLASS TO FIT INTO.
PHOTOS WERE ALL I HAD TO GO ON AND EXPLAIN IT WELL.
YOU DONT NEED A FRAME OF FIBREGLASS OR STAINLESS STEEL THESE COST UPWARDS OF £250 WHICH YOU CAN SPEND ON GLASS.
I MUST ADMIT I DID HAVE A LEAK BUT THIS WAS DOWN TO CUTTING LINER NOT WINDOW SEALANT..WHICH WAS "GOLD LABEL BLACK "
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BUILDS ANY QUESTIONS...JUST ASK

Whiskey, I don't know if you refilled your pond yet or not, but I'd sure like to see some close up pictures pictures of your window seal on the inside.

As requested photos of liner sealed to glass from all angles....hope this helps

so sit glass on spacers
make sure inside glass is flush with inner wall
mastic seal.... down.... across and up gap on inner wall
repeat on outer edge and leave to set [three days]
3 days later
now seal 40mm of liner to window not pressing too hard, you must have a flexi seal, so 3 ....5mm beads of mastic and press lightly.....now leave it alone
next day run a mastic seal all round outer liner to glass press with finger to get extra seal.

job done

Thanks. Now I see how you did this.

I was reading the specs for Gold Label Black Pond Sealant. Sounds very impressive. I wondered if you did any test, like stick 2 pieces of liner together and tried to pull them apart?

First pond window I've seen done this way. Will be interesting to see how it does.

Done a test weeks back, you really have to pull, to get it seperating from each other, so if water is pressing liner to wall, the only pull would be if water was bearing down on a tight liner, [causing a hammock affect] so it was important to me to get liner flat and leave a little slack, hence me cutting liner to take away bulk, would not have bulk on a straight wall, would of been a perfect lay.......moving on  swiftly

Yes Gold Label Black or Clear is a great product although black is a must for rubber liners.
