Injured Koi

One of my Koi got himself tangled in the fishing line that broke free from the floaters. He had one strand wrapped around his body and it looks like he has some minor damage to the dorsal fin. Should I treat him with anything? What? How?

You might want to use the salt treatment along with a course of antibiotics. Do this in a container the koi cannot jump out of. I was on my 5th day of treating one of my 18" Kohakus when it bumped its way past a protective net to keep him inside the container, Too bad, I was going to put him back into the pond the next day. He had a hole in his side from a raccoon that gaffed him with a claw. The wound was showing signs of healing when he jumped out.

I was unable to net him, so I just added salt to the entire pond and he seems healthy.
